Examining the Predictors of Willingness to Seek Counselling Services

The state of adolescents’ mental well-being has reached an alarming and worrying stage. Adverse life events, patterns family changes, changes in peer relationships, accompanied by the emergence health problems are significant factors influencing development psychosocial among adolescents. Unfortunately, only a small number adolescents will go for formal sources such as professional counsellors or professionals when they need help. Thus, main purpose present study was to determine relationships between parent-child connection, social support, willingness seek counselling services secondary saThe school students selected district Selangor, Malaysia. A total 437 respondents participated which were through cluster sampling techniques. findings demonstrated that mother-child regard, responsibility, father-child support positively correlated with students.
